but i have to praise the action scenes though, it was all really good. especially the baseball part and the last fight scene. whoah. that was cool -lah.
sad to say, this is not one of the best movie i've watched this year.
:: WORK like you don't need the money, LOVE like your heart has never been broken, and DANCE like no one is watching ::

Yeah, im a sucker for this genre of movie with musicals with happy endings, or even sad endings, i dig it all. but with Disney, i guess a sad ending is not very likely, "happy ever afters"... lol. I was very delighted by the beginning (Julie Andrews as the narrator!! love it), the 2D animation is just so awesome, it reminds me of Powerpuff Girls?? ehhh. i mean Snow White, The Little Mermaid, Bambi, Aladdin, Cinderella, Beauty and The Beast, you name it. Jumbo!!! right? izit? =.=" the animals in Enchanted were so cute and adorable!!!
and then, there were the songs, man, i totally love the songs. "True Love's Kiss"?? a homage to Snow White maybe? "Happy Working Song"?? something like from Cinderella and Snow White as well (the seven dwarfs) and "That's How You Know" was really brilliant. Amy Adams 's voice is fantastic. lol. and then later on there were more contemporary songs, So Close by Jon Mclaughlin and Ever Ever After by Carrie Underwood.
Amy Adams as Giselle
Patrick Dempsey as Robert
James Marsden as Prince Edward
Pip the Chipmunk
My favourite scene was when Robert disagreed with Giselle's happy ever after mentality, and she got so furious and frustrated with him, she got quite stunned, the 1st time ever she felt angry, also indicating that she's really all growned-up, or she starts to feel that human connection and taste abit of reality, and then she felt wonderful instead because she never felt that way before and Robert was like confused, thinking why is she mad at me. then she hit him, that was just funny... and she started touching Robert's chest, it's not lust, but it was like at the spur of the moment, the heat and fire, the chemistry between them and they almost kissed but Robert walked away instead, and she was shocked, ya know, her true love's kiss gone. man, that moment was just super hot, both of them were great in that scene.
I am so in love with Taylor Swift's new album. it's so yummy!!! it's been quite a long time since i've found an album i really really love, etc, i guess the last one was Colbie Caillat's Coco. You see, i have a thing, when there's a nice song from a certain artiste, i download the whole album, and in the end, there's only a few songs i really like. but in some special cases, some of them would be really awesome!!!
it's such a pity that Halloween is not celebrated on a large scale here though. it would be really fun and awesome. but im thinking there would be activities held by colleges and universities and stuff, i remember Taylor's had one. hehe. anyway, Happy Halloween!!! =)
Moonlight Resonance, one of the best TVB drama i've ever watched, no kidding! and the highest rating TVB drama to date. It has basically no connection with Heart of Greed (溏心风暴) because it compiles of different characters, but it uses back all the same casts, with some new additions of actors. MR has a more cheerful and comedy tone than HOG (both parents passed away, and it was meaner and sometimes illogical) while in MR (to complement with the Mooncake Festival), it has a much much happier ending. and the good prevailed in the end, while those evil and mean characters all turned over a new leaf.
With the similar casts from HOG and a few additional casts, the actings would definitely deserve thumbs-up, absolutely fantastic, coming from several veterans and of course, the new generation of actors. The plot is quite different from HOG, the father didn't have 2 wives, he divorced, and he married again, but later on realised his 1st wife was still the best. they have 6 children, 3 each after the divorce. and there was a vast difference between the 2 families, one (the Gam family) became rich, another (the Chung household) was not so well-to-do but was living in happiness. and this time it has no concern about abalones but mooncakes, and traditional Hong Kong biscuits.
and of course there were scenes fighting over the family fortune in the end, as the father decided to divorce his present wife and reunite with his 1st wife. love triangle relationships, Moses Chan-Tavia Yeung-Kate Tsui and Raymond Lam-Linda Chung-Bosco Wong. They focused alot more on Ray-Linda-Bosco rather than how the love relationship between Moses and Tavia blossomed which was quite a pooper. i wanted to see more of Moses and Tavia together, nice chemistry!! but well, since Ray and Linda couldn't get together in HOG, so, i think they decided to add more in MR, and of course! they ended up together. love them. they're like the golden couple on-screen, so matching!! *wakakakaka*
Let's get down to the characters.
(米雪) Michelle Yim as Yan Hong (殷红)
(夏雨) Ha Yu as Jou bao (甘泰祖)
(周驄) Chow Chung as Gong Gong (grandpa - 鍾泛達)
(关菊英) Suzanna Kwan as Sa yi (钟笑莎)
(杨怡) Tavia Yeung as Ah Yuet (甘永月)
(黎诺懿) Chris Lai as Ah Yuen (甘永圆)
(陈法拉) Fala Chen as Ah Hing (甘永庆)
Vincent Wan as Zhong Chai (甘永中)
(黄宗泽) Bosco Wong as Dr. Ling (凌至信)
i totally didn't like Bosco's character here. he had a girlfriend and still he had to get close to Yu Sou Chao. hmph. making Yu Sou Chao all so sad and confused. lol. anyway, he's still a good person as he decided to help Yu Sou Chao to teach her mother a lesson. he's just a guest cast in this show, as he had another show to work on.
(徐子珊) Kate Tsui as Ga Mei (路嘉美)
Honestly, i don't like Kate Tsui, and i don't know why. her acting cute and all when she was together with Ah Ka gave me goosebumps in a bad way, i just can't bear to watch. but she's pretty good at being evil, maybe it's her eyes or something. lol. her character is so uber evil!! just like her mother, Sa Yi at 1st, maybe even worst, when she started to betray Sa Yi and went over to Yan Hong's side. ughhh. luckily Ah Ka was clever enough to dump her. lol.
This is definitely a series that can't be missed!~~ with all the super cast and the super acting, MR is just superb!!
Edited* Congratulations to Michelle Yim and Ha Yu for winning Best Actress and Best Actor respectively and also Tavia Yeung for bagging away the Best Supporting Actress award. =)
I want to watch xxxHolic, yet Megavideo is not budging, it keeps getting stuck after 6 seconds or even 23 seconds. such a pity really. i guess i have to wait till Friday, 12 a.m. on Animax.
I feel like watching High School Musical 3: Senior Year in the cinema (yeah, cheesy huh) after listening to the soundtrack, what can i say, i guess these are the best songs in the trilogy. Even the song "I Want It All" by Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Grabeel is the best song from Sharpay and Ryan. lol. and the duet between Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens for "Can I Have This Dance" is beautiful as well. but the trailer gave me chills especially the part in the basketball court, (a little in a bad way) and i don't feel like wasting money...
" Rain rain, go away,
come again, another day... "
Well, i don't normally watch Taiwan Idol dramas as in 台湾偶像剧, because sometimes i think it's just too cheesy and far-fetched. lol. but of course, this TV serial is an exception, and this is my 2nd Taiwan Idol drama. =)
:: from left to right standing :: Ethan Ruan, Baron Chen :: from left to right sitting :: Joe Chen, Bianca Bai
Over the 2 years, Xin Yi transformed into a confident woman while Cun Xi became more matured. Towards the end, Cun Xi still haven't changed his childish ways, trying all means to win Xin Yi's heart back, very hilarious and stupid at the same time but very entertaining though. lol.
:: the transformation of Xin Yi ::

He is like a guardian to Chen Xin Yi, always protecting her and helping her, and he loves her as well. Transformed Xin Yi, changing her image and all. A very cool, calm-headed, rational character, suits Baron i guessed, though i don't really think he got a chance to shine his acting skills here, but still, very smooth acting.
One day, a large spaceship lands on Earth, leaving a robot called EVE (Extraterrestial Vegetation Evaluator), who's directive is to detect living plants on Earth. Wall-E falls in love immediately with Eve (love at first sight) but is quite intimidated by her plasma cannon, but still tries several ways to win her heart. Although amused by Wall-E's antics and personality, Eve, however, does not manifest any romantic feelings towards Wall-E.
and out of curiousity, wears it on his eyes. HAHA!
After that, Eve was retrieved by the same spaceship. Devastated, Wall-E clings onto the spaceship and he arrives at Axiom, where it had been the humans' dwelling for 700 years, supposedly used for 5 years only. On the way when Eve was sent to the main deck, Wall-E stayed by her side like a faithful companion. He encounters various interesting happenings, both concerning robots and humans, leading them to act outside their behaviour, but found it refreshing and new. but, alas, the plant was stolen. Eve was thought to have malfunctioned and was sent to the repair department with Wall-E. Eventually, they both got into trouble. Annoyed by Wall-E's actions, Eve decides to send him back to Earth by an escape pod, and he still thought that Eve was going back with him, his actions were just too touching.
The story ensues with Eve and Wall-E trying to save humanity because with the plant, humans could finally return to Earth. Along the way, Eve fell in love with Wall-E because she saw the security camera footage, which allowed Eve to see Wall-E doing romantic things for her. The ship's pilot, Captain McCrea, seeing the condition of earth through Eve's camera footage, decides to bring everyone back to earth, but is stopped by Auto. In the process of saving the world, Wall-E got electrocuted by Auto, and got crushed by the holo-detector.
However, the Captain managed to overpower Auto, by switching him of to manual, and brought the humans back to Earth. Eve then quickly replaced Wall-E's parts, but he lost his memory. Saddened and heartbroken by it, Eve tried desperately to revive Wall-E's memory, by showing the stuff he showed her, by holding his hands, and gives him a parting "kiss". Fortunately, the resulting spark reboots Wall-E's memory, and he recognizes Eve, and was so happy that he finally held hands with Eve. and so the humans and robots got to work together, restoring Earth to its' original state.
Wall-E and Eve dancing around in space.
Of course other than the theme love, the other message of the movie is just as imperative as well. The movie shows how Earth looks like in the future, all hazy, all dirty, full with trash, rubbish, junk. How all homosapiens survived by living on a ship full with robots satisfying their everyday needs, without lifting even a finger.
M-O and Wall-E
