Focus Japan :: Tokyo Disneyland :: 23/11/09

My second last day in Japan was spent at Tokyo Disneyland! (since we were leaving Japan the next day at 1.30 p.m.). Disneyland was definitely awesome, and this would be my second time stepping foot in Disneyland, the last was in the United States many donkey years ago. (:

but to be really honest, words cannot express my excitement to be in Disneyland. XD because i really really love Disney movies and as well as Disney's Pixar movies!

FYI, Tokyo Disneyland is the most profitable Disneyland in the whole wide world. and guess what, you would be surrounded by almost 95% of Japanese, while 5% are only foreigners. So, basically, they are earning their rakyat's money instead of foreigners. They have begun Christmas preparation as well, and it was a public holiday for them, so there were thousands and thousands of people.

.on the way to Tokyo Disneyland.

Upon arrival, there were already ROWS and ROWS and ROWS of cars and buses in the parking lot. Crazy.

.the entrance to Tokyo Disneyland.

.inside Tokyo Disneyland!.

.ah! you can see Pluto back there. =P

.the Main Street with a huge Christmas tree in the middle. see the many heads.

.the buildings and shops at Main Street.

There are two types of park in Tokyo Disneyland, one is the main Tokyo Disneyland Park, and the other is the Tokyo DisneySea Park (this is only available in Tokyo, Japan as this Disneyland is located beside the sea called Tokyo Bay).

Disneyland is divided into 7 topics - Westernland :: Critter Country :: Fantasyland :: Toontown :: Tomorrowland :: World Bazaar :: Adventureland.

The first ride we took was the Pirates of The Carribean in Adventureland featuring Captain Jack Sparrow. It was as if Johnny Depp was there, because it looked so real! LOL!

.the ride.

.Welcome to The Pirates of the Carribean!.

.the inside of the ride as we sail through it in the boat.

.it was too dark to take pictures. but you can vaguely see Captain Jack Sparrow's head protruding out from the barrow.

After that, we went for a 4D show called MicroAdventure! in Tomorrowland. Can you remember Wayne Szalinski from the movie "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids"? (:

.The Inventor of The Year : Professor Wayne Szalinski.

.that's the StarJets ride. but we didn't go for that.

.It's A Small World ride in Fantasyland.

.we didn't go for this either. haha. kiddie's ride. lol.

.this would be the Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall restaurant. .(from Alice in Wonderland).

For the 3rd ride, we went for the Haunted Mansion in Fantasyland, and because of Christmas, the theme was from the stop-motion movie by Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas". Ah, i love this movie! (:

The pictures below shows the decoration outside the ride.

.the pumpkins.

.the pumpkin scarecrow.

.my brother and the pumpkin heads. LOL.

.The Haunted Mansion. .Holiday Nightmare. Jack Skellington!

.bad picture. .took it in a rush because we were moving inside the mansion. (:

.the vehicle or the ride is called Doom Buggy. managed to get a few pictures but it was all dark inside. this is the ghost dog Zero.

.this would be Sally.

.this is the banquet or ballroom scene. on the left and right side of the table, there are like ghosts/translucent couples waltzing or dancing. there's this 2 portraits of men with guns that would come to life, shooting each other with the pistols. awesome -lah.

.can you spot a Hidden Mickey on the table?.

.the Christmas tree. very blur -lah. HAHA!

.this would be the namelist of children. like Santa's list. (:

.tried to take a picture of Jack Skellington. but it was too blur!.

.anyway, this would be the trio of mischievous children. Lock, Shock and Barrel.

We went for the Peter Pan's Flight ride after that. You can fly like Peter Pan but it's in a ship. According to my parents, the one in US is much nicer. (:

This ride is somehow like the trademark of Disneyland. Space Mountain! This is the most thrilling ride of all (as Disneyland is more on childrens' ride) and it's DEFINITELY a must to ride this Space Mountain if you visit Disneyland! It's like a roller-coaster ride. but it's much much much FASTER and much more AWESOME than roller coaster. Everywhere is dark in the ride and all you can see is colourful lights like you're in space. there's this part with the shining stars and planets, awesome!

.all of us conquered the Space Mountain. HAHAHAHA! how i wish i could sit it again. (:

.this is the Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters. too bad we didn't manage to go for this one.

.Tokyo Disneyland Guide Map.

.I had this for lunch. Mickey Chinese bread (pau) with fried chicken. 540 yen for this hamburger only. should be around 20 something Ringgit Malaysia.

.The Disney castle.

.awesome -lah.

(:

.Mickey and Minnie!. wanted to buy the Mickey plush toy but got the Stitch handphone holder instead.

.can you see rows and rows of people sitting down behind? they are waiting for the daytime parade "Jubilation". where there would be characters from Disney movies!

.the parade was awesome, it really brought back good memories of mine! .really touched to see the parade. (:

.the first parade float was Minnie's.

.Minnie!.

.so cute -lah.

.say Hi to Minnie. HAHAHAHA! (:

.Beauty and The Beast. (:

.Cinderella. (:

.can you roughly spot out the mice, Gus and Jaq?.

.this is Sleeping Beauty. but didn't manage to capture Princess Aurora though.

.Cinderella.

.Pocahontas and Meeko the racoon.

.this is the Pocahontas + Winnie the Pooh parade float.

.i just love Pooh bear. haha!

.Winnie the Pooh! and Piglet and Eeyore!.

.hehe.

.very cute -lah. ^^

.but i wonder where is Robin, Rabbit and Kanga and Owl?.

.Tigger!.

.Pooh is just too cute!. ^^

.this theme would be from the Lion King.

.Simba from the Lion King.

.The Lion King + The Jungle Book.

.I think that's Mowgli up there and the bear Baloo and the python.

.Lilo and Stitch!.

.Lilo!. ^^

.I just love Stitch as well. He is just too cute!.

.this is the crocodile from Peter Pan.

.Captain Hook. cannot really see his face because of the huge hat.

.the whole parade float for Peter Pan.

.Pinocchio! and Jiminy Cricket inside the water bubble.

.Pinocchio + Dumbo parade float.

.I think the amusement park in the middle is from Pleasure Island, where all the boys turn into donkeys in Pinocchio.

.I think this would be from the film Three Little Pigs.

.Dumbo the flying elephant.

.the three little pigs.

.oh yeah. Monsters, Inc. (:

.Mike and Sulley!. such a pity Mike cannot turn around. LOL.

.Sulley. too bad Boo is not there.

.Mike's half face. lol.

.Toy Story.

.the aliens from Toy Story. remember Buzz Lightyear fell into the claw-game full of these aliens?. hahahaha.

.Buzz Lightyear!.

.Buzz Lightyear. HAHAHA! such a clear shot of him! (:

.Woody! the toy cowboy.

.the whole parade float of Toy Story.

.Jessie.

.Mr Incredible!.

.Mrs Incredible!.

.the last parade float to come out was Mickey's.

.Mickey Mouse and Pluto.

.YaY!.

(:

.look at Pluto's expression. lol.

.Hello!. (:

.Mickey Mouse!.

.Donald Duck and Pluto!. ^^

.the chipmunks Chip and Clarice. couldn't see Dale though.

.Tinkerbell.

That's the end of the parade, but some characters were missing though, like Snow White, The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Hercules, Mulan, etc, etc. lol.

After the parade, we went for the Big Thunder Mountain ride. it's something like the Rolling Thunder ride in Genting Highlands. but this ride is much more exciting and has much more curves and . it gives you a high feeling. lol. all i can say is the 2 hour wait for the ride is very very worth it!

.the Big Thunder Mountain ride.

.I managed to spot Up in Adventureland! this is one of Pixar's most awesome film to date. (actually all of Pixar's film are awesome -lah!).

.Russell. Mr. Carl Frederickson. and the balloon house.

.Adventureland.

.oh yeah, Stitch was somewhere here, but he was surrounded by alot of people, so couldn't take a picture of him, such a pity.

.Mandarin ducks.

.Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse. (:

.you see the bird on Mr. Walt Disney's head. it's a real bird ah.

.World Bazaar or the Main Street.

We wanted to go for the Snow White's Adventures ride but it was closed for service because it was the first ride i took while i was at the Florida's Disneyland many years ago. and my mother said i was afraid after that because it was all dark inside (mostly the rides are dark) and i wouldn't go for other similar rides. LOL.

Therefore, we went for the Pinocchio's Daring Journey instead.

.This is the only clear picture i took in the ride.

.It's A Small World.

.can you see all the dolls coming out from the door?.

.I think this would be another interesting ride, called Pooh's Hunny Hunt, but too bad we didn't have enough time to ride this. sigh.

.Took a few pictures while walking.

.As it was getting dark, the lights were turned on.

.It was around 5 something p.m. and we had to leave already.

.see that cute Mickey snowman at the corner? i bought a pair of it (Mickey and Minnie) and it really lights up. ^^

.Goodbye Tokyo Disneyland!.

.It was fun reliving my inner childhood.

.no, i don't want to grow up yet and become an adult.

(:

I'll definitely come again to Japan if i have the money!

Let's just hope that my dad would take us to Hokkaido! HAHAHAHA!

Japan is such an advanced country, i mean even if they don't speak English, so what?!? but honestly, the only main problem is we tourists cannot communicate with them, like one duck one chicken (in Cantonese). HAHA! But They still can sell their product everywhere around the globe. What's more, most of the goods are produced locally and rarely imported goods are seen here in Japan. Very clean country. Very active in recycling as well, a very environmental friendly country. Awesome weather and clean, safe air.

Such an awesome trip.

I am missing Japan.

HAHA!
