sometimes i have the desire of taking up photography lessons. it amazes me. i don't want to be amateurish, i want it to be cool. i feel so awed by those super cool, high-tech cameras. itchy-hands it makes me. sadly, i can't afford the camera. =.="

fight of those Gundams, will ya? =P

suddenly, i feel the need of changing my hairstyle. i want to cut it like boyish short. since i'm stuck at home for half a year, if it doesn't turn out nice or cool, all i have to do is stay at home everyday. HEHE! but i'm still having doubts about it. sigh.

camwhored one fine night

I've been watching Moonlight Resonance - 溏心风暴之家好月圆 TVB drama, and all i can say that the drama is awesome. Superb acting. Very moving and touching. Every episode has this nice climax. One of the best TVB drama i've watched.

Now we're all grown up, everything seems so near, yet the feelings to reach out to secure your dreams are not there. Thinking back when we were still kids playing happily in the playground, everything seems distant, but the flaming desire was there too keep us striving. The innocence was so humongous and strong, it's overwhelming, there were no worries to think about. This is where the catch is. The worries were saved for now, for when we've grown up. All we want is to be happy, to be able to reach for the dreams we've dreamed once when we were little.

Glancing back, every scene and memories still seem so fresh. All the tears i've flowed. All the challenges i've faced and finally overcame. I got my heart broken. I've did naughty things but i still feel proud about it. Looking at how fast my brother grew into a quite rebellious teenager, and he's still a few inches away to be as tall as my dad. How i'm going to be able to achieve my ambition. i can't wait really.

All the best to everybody who's on their way to achieve their dreams!

at least Lee Chong Wei achieved a silver medal after all his efforts. Congratulations!

at least the Malaysian flag is raised up high.

i thought it was supposed to be an exciting and brilliant game. but instead Chong Wei made so many mistakes that was contributed freely to Lin Dan. It wasn't easy at all, all the pressure put on Chong Wei, who doesn't want to win the gold medal right. Although he could be much, much more better. felt really heartbroken, i think the whole Malaysians would. Lin Dan played really good, really strong guy, smashes were all beautiful, and he looked better physically and mentally, he really wanted to win that gold medal. Lin Dan still had several advantages.

1. It was in his own country, home ground.
2. The crowd obviously, cheered for him all the way, distracting really.
3. He is the World Champion!
4. and Lee Chong Wei made so many mistakes, damn it.

but anyway, getting a silver is good enough, there were no silvers before for the singles match. =)

Wall-E

Wall-E, the last robot on earth.

The story begins with Wall-E's life on planet Earth. In over 700 years, the adorable robot has became highly inquisitive and curious about the junks and rubbish on Earth. Everyday, after getting charged up by the sun (solar power), he decompresses trash and stacks them up till tall buildings of trash could be seen everywhere. His only friend is the cutest coakcroach i've ever seen, so slim and so cute. HAHA! Wall-E collects items that he finds interesting, and saving spare parts for himself from other inactive Wall-E units. and he would always watch the musical "Hello, Dolly!", especially the performances of "Put On Your Sunday Clothes", which he dances to when he found a round dish, and "It Only Takes A Moment" which teaches him emotion, especially by the act of holding hands, which he interprets as the act of showing love.

One day, a large spaceship lands on Earth, leaving a robot called EVE (Extraterrestial Vegetation Evaluator), who's directive is to detect living plants on Earth. Wall-E falls in love immediately with Eve (love at first sight) but is quite intimidated by her plasma cannon, but still tries several ways to win her heart. Although amused by Wall-E's antics and personality, Eve, however, does not manifest any romantic feelings towards Wall-E.

Wall-E found a bra.

and out of curiousity, wears it on his eyes. HAHA!

Wall-E then decides to show her the seedling plant he found and Eve detecting the plant, immediately stores it and goes into hibernation/standby mode. Wall-E then takes up the job of caring for her, protecting her, and still did not give up in winning her heart. He protected her during the rain, which he got electrocuted several times by the lightning. He covered her with a blanket when it snowed, and even took her out for a date, and held her hand, but she of course, she was not aware of it.

After that, Eve was retrieved by the same spaceship. Devastated, Wall-E clings onto the spaceship and he arrives at Axiom, where it had been the humans' dwelling for 700 years, supposedly used for 5 years only. On the way when Eve was sent to the main deck, Wall-E stayed by her side like a faithful companion. He encounters various interesting happenings, both concerning robots and humans, leading them to act outside their behaviour, but found it refreshing and new. but, alas, the plant was stolen. Eve was thought to have malfunctioned and was sent to the repair department with Wall-E. Eventually, they both got into trouble. Annoyed by Wall-E's actions, Eve decides to send him back to Earth by an escape pod, and he still thought that Eve was going back with him, his actions were just too touching.

Unknowingly to them, the plant was stolen by Auto's assistant, GO-4, (Auto is the ship's autopilot). GO-4 threw the plant into the escape pod, and Wall-E, seeing the situation, went to retrieve the plant, but was launched into space in the pod. Wall-E though, manages to escape when the pod self-destructed. EVE is so happy that she gives WALL-E a "kiss", an electronic discharge, and they share a dance around the Axiom.

The story ensues with Eve and Wall-E trying to save humanity because with the plant, humans could finally return to Earth. Along the way, Eve fell in love with Wall-E because she saw the security camera footage, which allowed Eve to see Wall-E doing romantic things for her. The ship's pilot, Captain McCrea, seeing the condition of earth through Eve's camera footage, decides to bring everyone back to earth, but is stopped by Auto. In the process of saving the world, Wall-E got electrocuted by Auto, and got crushed by the holo-detector.

However, the Captain managed to overpower Auto, by switching him of to manual, and brought the humans back to Earth. Eve then quickly replaced Wall-E's parts, but he lost his memory. Saddened and heartbroken by it, Eve tried desperately to revive Wall-E's memory, by showing the stuff he showed her, by holding his hands, and gives him a parting "kiss". Fortunately, the resulting spark reboots Wall-E's memory, and he recognizes Eve, and was so happy that he finally held hands with Eve. and so the humans and robots got to work together, restoring Earth to its' original state.

Wall-E and Eve dancing around in space.

This imaginative comedy adventure movie was pretty much dialogue-free, except when they got into Axiom which was full with humans. With the robot emitting adorable sounds, and the way Eve and Wall-E called each other's name, its enough to make you go awwww. The mastermind behind Wall-E's voice is Ben Burtt, who voiced R2-D2 in Star Wars and E.T. and Eve, voiced by Elissa Knight.

This movie is totally hilarious without even trying hard. Although Wall-E is comprised of just a yellow box and a pair of binocular eyes, the way he looks up in the sky, the way he goes soft when he sees Eve, the reflexion of the sky in his eyes is just enough to get your heart mesmerised. His pureness and innocence is just touching enough. The way he took care of Eve when she was deactivated with all the romantic stuff, it was all really adorable. and the funny friendship between Wall-E and M-O (a cleaning robot), so adorable! and besides, the nice nice super nice graphics, everything seemed so realistic. NICE!

Furthermore, there were sad and sombre parts. When Wall-E got shocked by Auto, and even though how much he hunger for Eve's affection by holding his hands, he selflessly pushed away her love, and wanted to save planet Earth and the human race instead. and when Eve was trying desperately to restore his memory, how he looked at Eve as she was a stranger, i almost wanted to cry. I mean, how can Wall-E just forget everything!!! The chasteness of their actions and expression were definitely flawless and prefect. This is yet another extraordinary Pixar production by spicing the movie up with a moving romance.

Of course other than the theme love, the other message of the movie is just as imperative as well. The movie shows how Earth looks like in the future, all hazy, all dirty, full with trash, rubbish, junk. How all homosapiens survived by living on a ship full with robots satisfying their everyday needs, without lifting even a finger.

The end result after 700 years? Obesity took over. The have even forgot how Earth looks like and they can't even walk! and have lost considerable bone mass. Humans became too dependable on robots and they became lazy, even to walk. This conveys the message of, we humans, must practice the act of recycling, like how Wall-E does, and reduce all activities that would pollute planet Earth and destroy the Earth's biosphere.

M-O and Wall-E

The humourous aspects in the movie just gets you laughing and smiling all the way. Really GREAT movie. and those sad moments were so tear-jerking. Wonderful really. Love this Pixar movie. nice!

Captain McCrea and Eve, joining forces to stop Auto from taking over the ship.

and Eve have several expressions by showing it with her eyes, and her actions, her hands especially. She and Wall-E together, just adorable!

last but not least, the Hero, Wall-E. HAHAHAHAHA! watch it now! another movie that must not be missed. =)

YES! Lee Chong Wei smashes into the finals for badminton!!! awesome!! but it was a really tough game for him as his opponent, Korea's Lee Hyunil, although 10th seeded in the world, is a really good player, really good at saving Lee Chong Wei's smashes. and i thought he was losing it during the 2nd round, but he regained his spirit during the 3rd and final round, so it might be he was saving his energy for the last game. it was a really crazy game. he's definitely getting a silver medal now, and hope that he would achieve that gold medal!!

2nd time saying Malaysia Boleh!!! hahahaha. =P

Definitely, Maybe

A love story mystery that revolves around William Hayes (Ryan Reynolds) and 3 beautiful women, his college sweetheart, Emily (Elizabeth Banks), the witty, cute, April (Isla Fisher) and the intelligent journalist, Summer (Rachel Weisz) and of course the only girl who would never hurt his heart, his daughter, Maya (Abigail Breslin).

This movie was really pleasant and charming, i love the plot. watch this movie if you hadn't had the chance too, but don't blame me if you don't like it okay. HAHA! As Will unfolds the story about the 3 women in his life, on Maya's request, Maya must find out who her mother is, and Will realises, with Maya's innocence and simplicity, that he might still have a second chance in love. Will is also in the midst of a divorce with Maya's mother.

The story begins in 1992, where Will moves to New York, leaving behind Emily, and meeting April, the copy girl for the Clinton campaign, and Summer, Emily's friend, old flame (they had a love affair). He proposes to Emily when she visits and she ends up revealing that she slept with Will's former roommate, and Emily letting Will go because of his dream (he wants to be the president of the US). Before that happened, he actually practiced his proposal to Emily on April, with him saying,

" i want to marry you because you're the 1st person i want to look at in the morning and the only one i want to kiss goodnight, because the 1st time that i saw this hands, " and he held April's hands, " i couldn't imagine not being able to hold them, but mainly, when you love someone as much as i do, getting married is the only thing left to do. So, will you, erm, marry me? " Ryan did that so perfectly, nice!

with April replying, " definitely, maybe, i'll have to think about it 1st. " and this was where i thought that April was Maya's mother, but i didn't want them to not being with each other, hmm, what a dilemma. but it was not her. nope. They go back to her apartment, where April has multiple copies of Jane Eyre in her collection, explaining that her father gave her a copy with an inscription in the front shortly before he died, and she lost the book. She has spent years buying copies of Jane Eyre from secondhand stores, hoping to find the copy her father gave her. Will and April eventually kiss, with Will leaving quickly and getting angry at himself.

After all that, Will and Summer became romantically involved, and when Will prepares to propose to Summer, April had returned from her travelling, where she and Will eventually became great friends through postcards and mails. April was piqued and annoyed but she still managed to be happy for Will. This was the part where Maya explained to her dad that April came back for Will and he didn't realize that, and April wanted to become the girlfriend and not just a friend. It turned out later on that the romance between Will and Summer didn't work out.

Will became a mess, he hates his job and starts drinking heavily. He confesses to April that he loves her, but they ended up fighting, as he tells her to go to a "life rehab". Years pass, and Will eventually finds the copy of Jane Eyre that April's father gave her. He goes to give it to her, but decides against it when he finds out that April and her boyfriend are living together.

In the end, Emily turns out to be Maya's mother, which Maya figured out by how Emily/Sarah actually touches her hair while saying encouraging words. On the other hand, Maya realises that her father still loves April because he didn't change her name. IMO, i believe he wanted to remember he completely and it was obvious that he still loves her.

He decides to give the Jane Eyre book to April but when she learns that he was holding on to it rather that giving it to her immediately after several years, she asks him to leave. Maya encourages her father to win April's heart back as she wants him to be happy. Will opens up to April, saying that,

" i kept the book..."
" yah? ", April.
" because it was the only thing left of you...", Will.

April was so touched and you would know what's going to happen next. =)

I really liked the story plot and all and how these 3 women was so attracted to Will. and Abigail portrayed her character, Maya, so cute and smart, i really like it! and OMG, i still can remember Isla Fisher as Gloria from the Wedding Crashers starring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, her character's personality in Definitely, Maybe was so different than that, i really love it. she did a great job being April. nice! and i totally wanted April to end up with Will. lol. Ryan Reynolds had perfect chemistry with the 3 women and of course, it was with Abigail that brought out the soft side of him. perfect! A rare kind of chick flick in the man's point of view. cool. personally, i thought that Will and April make a really really cute pair. nice!

" what's a threesome? ", Maya
" erm, it's a game the adults play sometimes...when they're bored... ", Will glancing sideways at Maya.
" whatever. ", Maya. Cute!

" what's the boy word for slut? ", Maya.
" erm, they still haven't come up with it yet. ", Will. LOL!
YES! and Lee Chong Wei made in into the semifinals. brilliant player. he won 2 games straight, battling out with Indonesia's Sony, the 6th seeded, man, he was very good too. hope he would win something, of course, preferably the gold medal. HAHA!

this is my first time saying Malaysia Boleh!!!! *im not that patriotic* =P

Michael Phelps is so awesome. he swims so super freaking fast. man. i wish i have like 0.01% of his energy and stamina to swim like that. haha!

anyway. i got so excited while watching Wong Mew Choo battling out with second seeded, China's Lu Lan that i was almost trembling. yeah, weird huh. it was a really entertaining and heart-racing match. and the ambiance was really tight. and Mew Choo kept missing when she reached the game point! she kept hitting the net. man. although Lu Lan won in the end, but MC fought a good game, especially in the 2nd round. lol. my dad kept taking his eyes off the TV as he couldn't bear to see the shuttlecock fall on MC's side. i guess he was really nervous as well. HAHA!

and when MC kept hitting the net, he was like,
"aiyoh, hate her -lah (unintentionally) so careless -lah her..."

and me and bro kept screaming when we watched the basketball game where China vs USA which was around 11 something at night last Sunday. it was so exciting when Yao Ming scored the 1st 3-pointer for China, but the USA's defence was superbly great, and they caught up pretty fast with all the slam dunks. LOL!

ohmy, i want to watch Wall-E!!! *so cute*

that's all for now. bye peeps!!

why so serious?

Batman The Dark Knight was awesome! but it is quite crazily sadistic in a way, definitely not suitable for children ages 12 and below. what happened to do children-suitable Batman that i used to watch on Cartoon Network? HAHA!

plenty of action. checked. unbelievable camera angles. checked. cool CGI effects. checked. awesome explosions scenes that can make you go deaf. checked. oops, i mean terrific sound effects. checked. fast-paced. checked. and most of all, the unexpected scenes that you can't really imagine that would happen. checked too! and of course, great acting from all of the actors. Christian Bale is hot and a tribute to the late Heath Ledger who portrayed the Joker with stunning brilliance and insanity. the plot was weaved in and weaved out intricately, the suspense and the darkness of the movie thrilled me, and you really wouldn't know what would happen next, fantastic!

on the dark side, the movie, honestly, was quite violent, and it showed little bit of insanity. alot of people was sacrificed, explosions here and there, and there was one when a handphone, well, bomb to be specific was placed under a man's skin. and a man's mouth was slashed by the knife. and what the Joker said, he preferred to kill with knives over guns, as he gets to taste those little emotions. and how Harvey Dent's half face was burned till bones and muscles could be seen. gwad. hope the next installment would be as thrilling as this.

movie of the year that must not be missed!!! *ngehehehehe*

why so serious huh?
