Probably, i've never blogged anything about my PBL class or as some of you might call tutorial classes.
mine's not a tutorial class though, it's called Problem Based Learning, where a case/scenario is given, and you would have to do research on the disease/diagnosis and present it after 3 days.
So, i am in Semester 3 now, and we have 4 systems to cover, mainly the Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Hematology and Gastrointestinal. For our 3 systems of PBLs, we had facilitators (to guide us) who were not doctors, mainly researchers or postgraduate students i would say.
but for our final system, the Gastrointestinal, we finally had a doctor, and a strict one.
One who asks ALOT of questions, we would all "ternganga" there, either jaws dropping, eyes wide, or head stooping.
One who doesn't let us Google (typical) and must look for the answers from books!
=.="
and when sometimes, i really love my PBL mates, because all sorts of bizarre answers come out/or when maybe we couldn't answer, and the doctor would say,
"send you back to A Levels ah..."
"send you back to secondary school ah..."
"get out from the class now ah..."
in a very casual way, it's just funny.
but he's very very good!
and he thought i was a JPA scholar,
"WC, you are not a JPA scholar?"
"No..."
"Because you look like one, very hardworking kind, take 10 subjects will get 12A's but don't know where they other 2A's come from -lah..."
then everybody laughed -loh.
LOL!
he really wants us to make sure we know our stuff. woot!
and because of our bizarre and illogical answers, he even said,
"Last time i wasn't a good doctor, but i won't say bizarre answers like you all, just stand there be quiet only -lah. If you're worse than me, then just be like me, keep quiet only..."
LOL!
everytime after our PBL session, it makes me think, am i going to be a fit doctor next time?
better start from now!
(:
