Twilight

i watched Twilight the other day. It wasn't as amazing as i thought it would be. well, you can't complain much if the movie's main theme is revolving around a pair of lover. all they do is stare at each other, stutter, looking all confused, and saying words of love to each other.

but i have to praise the action scenes though, it was all really good. especially the baseball part and the last fight scene. whoah. that was cool -lah.

and then there was the finger-licking hot as ever Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen. but he always had on a serious, tensed, dead-pan look on his face!!! that was quite hard to watch, but he was really cool. and when he smiles or laughs, man, it's just OMG, he's super charming!!! and i love his hair, all long and ruffled and in a mess. man, he's like the hottest vampire. lol.

sad to say, this is not one of the best movie i've watched this year.

It was a Tuesday.

I text messaged Shan Miao,

"i'm in the hospital because of my rotten nail..."

"huh? what? why like that? you always...",

she replied.

i messaged her again,

"i'm seeing a doctor in a hospital because of my nail -lah..."

then the Next day,

*krinnngggg kriingggg* my handphone rang,

it was Shan Miao,

"hehlo! Are you still in the hospital?" she asked.

"har?? i did not stay in the hospital. i just went there to see a doctor..."

"cheh, i thought you needed to stay there..." she said.

Enchanted

Enchanted, a cross-over between Disney's 2D animation cartoon world and the real world -- New York City specifically. I've watched this movie twice, the 1st time i missed the first half-hour, therefore, i had to watch the second time right? right? what can i say? i absolutely LOVE this movie.

Yeah, im a sucker for this genre of movie with musicals with happy endings, or even sad endings, i dig it all. but with Disney, i guess a sad ending is not very likely, "happy ever afters"... lol. I was very delighted by the beginning (Julie Andrews as the narrator!! love it), the 2D animation is just so awesome, it reminds me of Powerpuff Girls?? ehhh. i mean Snow White, The Little Mermaid, Bambi, Aladdin, Cinderella, Beauty and The Beast, you name it. Jumbo!!! right? izit? =.=" the animals in Enchanted were so cute and adorable!!!

Watching Enchanted makes me so happy!! "glees happily" HAHA! i can't stop smiling. Firstly, i noticed there was Bambi, there was Thumper, there was the blue birds from Cinderella, it all seemed so familiar, and that turtle too! the human characters all looked really nice and all. and that evil stepmother looks like that evil queen too from Sleeping Beauty. lol.

and then, there were the songs, man, i totally love the songs. "True Love's Kiss"?? a homage to Snow White maybe? "Happy Working Song"?? something like from Cinderella and Snow White as well (the seven dwarfs) and "That's How You Know" was really brilliant. Amy Adams 's voice is fantastic. lol. and then later on there were more contemporary songs, So Close by Jon Mclaughlin and Ever Ever After by Carrie Underwood.

I'm thinking you guys already know the story already, im still the slow one, having just watched it recently only, so outdated i know. haha! the beautiful maiden meets the prince, and was about to have their happily ever after, but was thrown into the real world by the evil stepmother. there, she met the lawyer, and stuff happens, they fell in love, the lawyer was her one true love, and everybody got their happy ending. hahaha.

Amy Adams as Giselle
damn, she was so spectacular in Enchanted. she's just perfect portraying Giselle, just flawless, with her long red hair, and pale fair skin, she's so beautiful, it's just so awesome. It's like she really really came out from a storybook, a fairytale, that she even moves like, like an animated character, so expressive. Every little emotions and actions were expressed beautifully, im so impressed. i love the way how she uses her hands, so princess-like. hehe. The pureness, innocence, sweet, kind, thinking that there was a happily ever after flowed out so damn naturally in her. and not to forget, she has an amazing voice too, so happy listening to her sing. she's just so expressive that you can see the twinkle in her eyes, and her smile, man, so beautiful and sincere. lol. you could just feel for her cheerfulness her joyful character. and then there was the transformation, from the fairytale, classic wedding dress to the contrasting modern ball gown, she looks so beautiful in all the outfits. such an amazing actress. and btw, IMO, Giselle is not an easy character to play, and Amy Adams is totally made to play her, i couldn't think of any other actresses that could actually carry out that cheerful and optimistic disposition without being ridiculous. looking forward to her future projects.

Patrick Dempsey as Robert
His character is a lawyer with a 6 year old daughter, Morgan. What can i say, Patrick Dempsey is hot ya know. *drools* hehe. He doesn't believe in happy endings and fairytales. After meeting Giselle, his whole life changes kinda. I think he did a pretty good job in portraying a kinda pessimistic, grounded lawyer, or what is it, reality kind of guy, what to do, he handles divorce cases. lol. and although he seems firm on the outside, deep inside, he's soft and kind, helping out Giselle and all even if he seems reluctant. I thought he and Amy Adams had a really great chemistry. His character is calm, serious, yet soothing, whereas Giselle's really expressive, animated and joyful. The part i loved was when he danced with Giselle, where all the emotions flowed out, he slowly realising that he was in love with her, and then he was singing to her, where there was a part he was saying he doesn't sing and dance, this moment was just so romantic, So Close is such a beautiful song! and Giselle's expression with the confusion and feeling sweet at the same time, damn, that was good. they were so sweet and charming in that dance.

James Marsden as Prince Edward
Hey, i liked him as Corny Collins from Hairspray and he was the one that played Lois Lane's fiancee in Superman Returns. lol. He's a really good actor. The way he portrayed Prince Edward's naive, yet innocently narcissistic is just so comical. There were times where he was just kinda dumb, not understanding what the chipmunk, Pip was saying, and then there were times when he was serious, realising that Robert was Giselle's one true love. lol. There was this part where he finally found Giselle and he started singing, and Giselle wasn't, and he was like confused, and she asked, "what's wrong?" "you're not singing..." lol.

Pip the Chipmunk
the chipmunk was brilliantly animated!!! he's just sooo adorable, especially in that canteen scene with Edward, imitating Giselle. even though he couldn't speak in the real world, he was still trying his best to convey his message to the prince. some of his words were still audible, with squeaking sounds, and his actions were all so hilarious when he wanted to convey that Giselle was in danger to Prince Edward. lolz.

My favourite scene was when Robert disagreed with Giselle's happy ever after mentality, and she got so furious and frustrated with him, she got quite stunned, the 1st time ever she felt angry, also indicating that she's really all growned-up, or she starts to feel that human connection and taste abit of reality, and then she felt wonderful instead because she never felt that way before and Robert was like confused, thinking why is she mad at me. then she hit him, that was just funny... and she started touching Robert's chest, it's not lust, but it was like at the spur of the moment, the heat and fire, the chemistry between them and they almost kissed but Robert walked away instead, and she was shocked, ya know, her true love's kiss gone. man, that moment was just super hot, both of them were great in that scene.

and where Giselle danced and sang in Central Park, man, she was just so gracful and wonderful. and Robert was like. "i don't dance, and i don't sing too"... it was just hilarious.

and another scene where Giselle was cleaning up Robert's apartment, singing "Happy Working Song", man, pigeons, rats, and even cockroaches, ewwww, went into his apartment, and i was practically gaping at it. cockroaches, what!!!! =.="

sigh, such a nice movie, i think i can watch it a few more times. HAHAHA!!!
